Ufa (Bashkir: Өфө [ʏ̞ˈfʏ̞] , romanized: Öfö; Russian: Уфа́) is the largest city in and the capital of Bashkortostan, Russia. The city lies at the confluence of the Belaya and Ufa rivers, in the centre-north of Bashkortostan, on hills forming the Ufa Plateau to the west of the southern Ural Mountains, with a population of over 1.1 million residents, up to 1.4 million residents in the urban agglomeration.

Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU) (Russian: Уфимский Государственный Авиационный Технический Университет, УГАТУ, Bashkir: Өфө дәүләт авиация техник университеты, ӨДАТУ) is a state higher school, located in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia. Ufa State Aviation Technical University was founded in 1932 in Rybinsk, USSR (moved to Ufa during WWII).

Kosterin's House (Russian: Дом Костерина, romanized: Dom Kosterina) is an historic Russian Art Nouveau former mansion on the corner of Pushkina and Karl Marx Streets, Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia. Built in either 1907 or 1912 for merchant Pavel Kosterin, the building was occupied during the Russian Civil War by the White Army.

The Monument to Zagir Ismagilov (Bashkir: Заһир Исмәғилев һәйкәле, romanized: Zahir Isma’g’ilev ha’ka’le) is a monument to composer Zagir Ismagilov. It is located at Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Ufa, Bashkortostan. It opened in 2008.
