Moshi is a municipality and the capital of Kilimanjaro region in the north eastern Tanzania. In the last official census of 2012, the municipality had a population of 184,292. The municipality is situated on the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, a dormant volcano that is the highest mountain in Africa.
