Edgewood is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, adjacent to the city of Pittsburgh. The population was 3,145 at the 2020 census.

The Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf (WPSD) is a school for deaf and hard of hearing children in Edgewood, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1869. The school is listed as a Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmark. The administrative building was built in 1903 by architects Alden & Harlow.

Edgewood School District was a public school district serving the families of Edgewood, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and surrounding communities by providing K-12 public education. The school opened October 6, 1892 in the town of Edgewood and operated for 90 years before closing.The Edgewood School District was eliminated by court order in July 1981 when the students of Edgewood were included in the newly formed, larger, Woodland Hills School District.

Summerset at Frick Park is a residential development located in the Squirrel Hill and Swisshelm Park neighborhoods within the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. This project is one of the nation's first brownfield sites to be remediated for residential purposes. The $250 million public-project began in 1997 and is the City of Pittsburgh's largest residential development since World War II.

The Gardner-Bailey House at 124 West Swissvale Avenue in Edgewood, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, was built in 1864. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 1, 1974, and the List of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmarks in 1984. The main section of the house has a square floor plan with four rooms on the first floor linked by a central hall, an extensive staircase, and three bedrooms and a bath on the second floor.

Swisshelm Park is a neighborhood located in the southeast corner of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is represented on Pittsburgh City Council by Corey O'Connor. Swisshelm Park houses PBF 19 Engine, and is covered by PBP Zone 4 and the Bureau of EMS Medic 7.A majority of Swisshelm Park is largely surrounded by Frick Park.

Hamnett is a station on the East Busway, located in Wilkinsburg and near Edgewood.There is a park and ride lot close to the station.
