Defense Square

La Défense (French: [la de.fɑ̃s]) is a major business district located 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) west of the city limits of Paris. It is part of the Paris metropolitan area in the Île-de-France region, located in the department of Hauts-de-Seine in the communes of Courbevoie, La Garenne-Colombes, Nanterre, and Puteaux.

La Défense (French pronunciation: ​[la defɑ̃s]) is a station of the Transilien (Réseau Saint-Lazare) suburban rail lines, RER commuter rail network, Paris Métro, as well as a stop of the Île-de-France tram network. In the future, Paris Metro Line 15 of Grand Paris Express will pass through here, making it a huge railway hub.

The Centre of New Industries and Technologies (French: Centre des nouvelles industries et technologies, abbreviated CNIT), located in Puteaux, France, is the first building ever to be developed in La Défense, west of Paris, France. It functions as a convention centre, though it also houses shops and offices such as Fnac (a media and electronics retailer found throughout France), ESSEC Business School campus for executive education, as well as a Hilton hotel.

Cœur Défense is an office skyscraper in La Défense, the high-rise business district west of Paris, France. With 350,000 m2 (3.77 million sq. ft), it is the building with the most floor space in Europe along with the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest.Coeur Défense was built in 2001, replacing the former Esso Tower, the first building of the old generation to be destroyed in La Défense.

The Fonds national d'art contemporain (FNAC; National Foundation for Contemporary Art) is a public collection of contemporary art in France. It does not hold exhibitions but acquires and stores works of art that it loans to museums, cultural institutions and temporary exhibitions in France and abroad.

Tour Aurore is a 110-metre, 29-story office building in the La Defense central business district outside of Paris. It was designed by Coyne et Bellier and constructed in 1970 but will be dismantled in 2013 to make way for Tour Air2.

The Centre national des arts plastiques (National Centre for Visual Arts, Cnap) is a French institution established in 1982 under the Ministry of Culture and Communication that promotes creation of visual arts. It provides assistance to artists and galleries, and manages the Fonds national d'art contemporain (FNAC; National Foundation for Contemporary Art).

Élysées–La Défense (or Élysée–La Défense or La Défense–Élysée) is an aborted project for the construction of a station on the Paris Métro.

The Tour Opus 12, or Tour Credit Lyonnais, is a major office block in la Défense, Paris. It was designed by architects Jean Dubuisson and Jean-Pierre Jausserand, and Valode et Pistre for restoration.

Tour Ariane (English: Ariane Tower)(previously known as tour Générale between 1973 and 1995) is an office skyscraper located in La Défense, the high-rise business district situated west of Paris, France.Built in 1975, it belongs to the 2nd generation of skyscrapers in La Défense. The tower is 152 m (499 ft) tall and has 36 floors.
