Newport News City Park

Easy trail for beginners. Beautiful scenery throughout. Some of the trails are paved and some are gravel, sand or dirt. There are benches to sit, rest, or just to take in the view. There is a Ranger Station and the Rangers patrol often so this is a safe place. There are different playgrounds located throughout as well. This is also a historic sit with informational plaques telling the significance of the history here. It’s a very enjoyable place to walk. Not to mention the wildlife… you just never know when you’ll walk up on a deer!
