Andover is a village located in the town of Andover in Allegany County, New York, United States. The population was 1,042 at the 2010 census. The name is derived from Andover, Vermont.The village of Andover is centrally located in the town and near the east county line.

Temple Beth-El is a synagogue located at 12 Church St., Hornell, New York. Built in 1946, it was founded as Orthodox. In 1950 the Rabbi was Harry Zwick, and congregation officers were: president Isadore Spitulnik, vice-president Louis Eisenberg MD, financial secretary Joseph Cropp, recording secretary Edward Schulimson, treasurer Hyman Jacobsen.

Andover School is a public combined elementary, middle and high school with Pre-kindergarten located in Andover, Allegany County, New York, U.S.A., and is the only school operated by the Andover Central School District.
