Ginger and Cinnamon Wed Jun 22

Interesting day with huge water drops and thunder. It blew right by, thankfully. Ginger and Cinnamon hung out under the trees in the garden area until the rain stopped. Then they walked very slowly, stopped to check out another dog across rhe street, and finished by walking through the park. On the return section I worked With Cinnamon to walk without pulling, hoping that would engender some relationship and distract the frenetic behavior. I got in the ground in the middle of the park so I could easily hold Cinnamon's leash straight up while getting close to her. She only allowed a moment of sniffing my hand. Ginger took full advantage to get lots of close up.petting. As we walked back on Stonewood, Cinnamon did seem much more calm and tried not to pull; she let the leash go slack much of the time. Until we crossed to go back home. They both were excited for home. They got unharnessed quietly and even took a small biscuit treat without noise. They are ready for water.
