Bénouville (French pronunciation: [benuvil] (listen)) is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region in northwestern France.It is located on the Canal de Caen à la Mer close to Caen and Ouistreham.

The Château de Bénouville is a building in Bénouville, Normandy, near Caen (northern France). It was designed in 1769 by architect Claude Nicolas Ledoux and built in 1770-74 and 1776-80 at the request of Hyppolite-François Sanguin, marquis of Livry (1715–1789) and his marquise Thérèse Bonne Gillain de Bénouville, heiress of the property.

Blainville-sur-Orne (French pronunciation: [blɛ̃vil syʁ ɔʁn] (listen), literally Blainville on Orne) is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region in northwestern France.Blainville-sur-Orne is on the west side of the Canal de Caen à la Mer, just south of Bénouville and the famous Pegasus Bridge of D-Day fame.

The canton of Hérouville-Saint-Clair is an administrative division of the Calvados department, northwestern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Hérouville-Saint-Clair.

Its inhabitants are called Hérouvillais.
