Lani got up when she heard the rattle at the gate. I made a lot of noise bringing up a couple of the refuse cans. She seemed a little groggy but mostly happy and excited for the activity. We quickly headed out. She did her usual pee stops and a poop stop. For much of the walk she pulled back to have a lot of pauses to investigate the scents on the ground and in the bushes. She had finished her pee stops in the first 10 minutes or so. And in the last few minutes, about when we were approaching the school on Van Ness, she pulled and walked without stops or pauses because she knew the way home. I had her take a little bump in the route and that through her for a minute. But she recovered. She walked well and was tired and thirsty when she got home. She went to her spot and this time she laid down and had some water. She also accepted a treat.
