The Dom Luís I Bridge (Portuguese: Ponte de Dom Luís I), or Luís I Bridge, is a double-deck metal arch bridge that spans the River Douro between the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia in Portugal. At its construction, its 172 metres (564 ft) span was the longest of its type in the world. It has been confused with the nearby Maria Pia Bridge, a railway bridge that was built 9 years earlier (and is located 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) to the east), which is similar in aspect to the Luís I bridge.

The Elevador da Ribeira or Elevador da Lada is a public elevator in Porto, Portugal. It connects the neighbourhood of Ribeira (at no. 66 of Largo dos Arcos da Ribeira, near the Dom Luís I Bridge) to the middle of the slope of Barredo, by means of a vertical lift and a footbridge.It was designed by the architect António Moura, and its inauguration on 13 April 1994 was attended by President Mário Soares and other dignitaries.

In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Santa Marinha e São Pedro da Afurada. The population in 2011 was 3,568, in an area of 1.00 km².It is an urban parish in the city of Gaia.

The Monastery of Serra do Pilar is a former monastery located in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, on the opposite side of the Douro River from Porto. The monastery is situated on an outcrop overlooking the Dom Luís I Bridge and the historic centre of Porto. Together with these locations, the monastery was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.

Igreja de Santa Clara is a Catholic temple located in the parish of Sé in Porto, Portugal The construction of the church began in 1416 alongside the Santa Clara Convent for use by nuns of the Order of Poor Clares. However, the Order of Poor Clares settled in the church in 1427, it was completed in 1457.

The palace is located on a high elevation, near Porto Cathedral, and dominates the skyline of the city. It is part of the historical centre of Porto, designated World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
