Ginger and Cinnamon Wed Apr 13

Ginger and Cinnamon came running when I opened the door. Ginger was all wiggly, excited for attention and her walk. Cinnamon was more about “go away” from my safe place. Sommer got Cinnamon’s harness on while I got Ginger’s on. Off we went. Cinnamon started with lots of shaking and tail between her legs even though Ginger was happy and confident as she walked through the garden area. Slowly Connamon relaxed enough to follow Ginger, explore a little, and wander. Her tail relaxed and the shivers stopped. But she was still afraid of me such that she would not come near. Ginger relished all the attention. They walked a good couple of loops and we sat a couple of times to just be together at their level. At the steps in front of the door, I sat with them. As I got up, Cinnamon yanked out of her harness and walked/ran to the main sidewalk. She came running as fast as she knows how when called by Sommer! It is really comforting to know how safe she feels in her home with her people. Ginger got two small treats during the walk. I tried to entice Cinnamon by showing her how Ginger liked them so Cinnamon could carefully take one too. But she wouldn’t take the chance. Both peed many times. Ginger pooped.
