Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (IATA: DFW, ICAO: KDFW, FAA LID: DFW), also known as DFW Airport, is the primary international airport serving the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex and the North Texas Region in the U.S. state of Texas.It is the largest hub for American Airlines, which is headquartered near the airport, and is the third-busiest airport in the world by aircraft movements and the fourth-busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic in 2020, according to the Airports Council International.

Delta Air Lines Flight 1581 was a scheduled flight from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to George Bush Intercontinental Airport. On January 7, 1992, the Boeing 737-200 operating this flight lost its right engine on takeoff. The pilots were able to land the plane safely back at the airport.
