Barclay Square (Estonian: Barclay plats) is a public square and park in the city of Tartu, Estonia, adjacent to the Ülikooli street. It is named after Russian Imperial officer Michael Andreas Barclay de Tolly and there is a large monument in the park honoring him.

The Great fire of Tartu took place on 6 July [O.S. 25 June] 1775 and destroyed most of the city of Tartu in what is now Estonia. The fire destroyed the centre of the city.

Raudsild (Iron Bridge) was a footbridge across Emajõgi in Tartu, Estonia, which was opened on 3 June 1993, and dismantled again in 2007. It connected the neighbourhood of Kesklinn (city centre) with Ülejõe.The pedestrian bridge had a minor design flaw which made it gyrate noticeably at even minor impacts, like a normal-sized person jumping or running across it.

Kaarsild ('Arch Bridge') is a pedestrian bridge in Tartu, Estonia. The bridge connects the city's centre and the Ülejõe District.The bridge was built in 1957–1959 on the site of the former Stone Bridge; this bridge was destroyed during WWII.In 2017, the bridge was renovated.At night, the bridge is illuminated with lighting effects.

Paraphrase E is one of a series of avant-garde drawings called paraphrases by Ado Vabbe in the Tartu Art Museum.The drawing shows a set of lines that act as partial contours of possible images, such as faces and the rear end of a horse. Ado Vabbe was the first to bring abstraction to Estonia after studying with Vassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc in Munich during the years 1911-1923.

Tartu Art Museum (Estonian: Tartu Kunstimuuseum) is a state-owned museum of art located in Tartu, Estonia. It was founded in 1940 on a private initiative by the members of local art school Pallas. This is the largest art museum in Southern Estonia.The main collection consists of works of art by Estonian and foreign artists, associated with Estonia, from the 18th century until now.

Tartu Public Library (Estonian: Tartu Linnaraamatukogu) is a public library in Tartu, Estonia.Its predecessor was the library which was established in 1913 by Tartu Rahvaraamatukogu Selts. The City Library was established in 1920. In 1928, this library was named into the Central City Library. In 1936, new rooms were finished in Kompanii Street (nowadays, the library is also located in Kompanii Street).
