The Fortress of Saint Dmitry of Rostov (Russian: Крепость Святого Димитрия Ростовского) was a fortification structure of the Russian Empire. In the middle of the 18th century it was of great military and strategic importance and also was the most powerful among the southern fortresses of Russia. The city of Rostov-on-Don was named after the fortress.

Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin (Russian: Церковь во имя Покрова Пресвятой Богородицы) ― one of the oldest churches in Rostov-on-Don (there is a common misconception that it was the first church in the city). The original building was situated approximately at the corner of Bolshaya Sadovaya street.

The Martyn Brothers House (Russian: Дом братьев Мартын), also known as the Red Cottage (Russian: Красный домик), is a building in Rostov-on-Don, located at the intersection of Bolshaya Sadovaya Street and Fortress Lane. The building was built by architect Nikolai Sokolov in 1893, in the centre of the former Fortress of Saint Dimitry of Rostov.

The Masalitina House (Russian: Дом Масалитиной), also known as the Vorozhein House (Russian: Дом Ворожеина) is a building in Rostov-on-Don located at the intersection of Bolshaya Sadovaya Street and Kirovsky Prospekt. It was built in 1890 to the design of architect Grigory Vasilyev in the eclectic style.

The Monument to Vladimir Vysotsky is a bronze monument installed and opened in the summer of 2014 in Rostov-on-Don on Pushkinskaya Street.

Monument to the founders of Rostov-on-Don (Russian: Памятник основателям Ростовской крепости) is a bronze monument of founders of Rostov-on-Don on Bolshaya Sadovaya street in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. Sculptor Sergei Oleshnya and architect V. Fomenko created design of the sculptures of five Rostov-on-Don founders: Alexander Rigelman (construction manager), Ivan Somov (the first commandant), Vasily Hastatov (customs manager), Danila Yefremov (commander of the Don Cossack Host) and a cossack.

Rostov State Medical University is also known as Rostov State Medical Institute, RostSMU, RostGMU, Rostov State Government Medical University.
