Alameda downtown

The Benito Juárez Hemicycle is a Neoclassical monument located at the Alameda Central park in Mexico City, Mexico and commemorating the Mexican statesman Benito Juárez. The statue of Juárez is flanked by marble Doric columns. There are two allegorical female statues next to Juárez, representing the fatherland and law.

Bellas Artes is a station along Line 2 and Line 8 of the Mexico City Metro system. It is located in the Colonia Centro neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc municipality of Mexico City, on the junction of Avenida Juárez and Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas, on the eastern end of the Alameda Central, west of the city centre.

The Beethoven Monument (Spanish: Monumento a Beethoven) is installed in Alameda Central, Mexico City, Mexico. The memorial, designed by Theodor von Gosen, features two allegorical bronze sculptures, and was installed in 1921.

Edificio La Nacional is an Art Deco office building located in Avenida Juárez, in the Historical Centre of Mexico City, just across the street from Palacio de Bellas Artes. The building's architect was Manuel Ortiz Monasterio, former director of the Escuela Nacional de Arquitectura. It is considered to be the first building over 10 stories in Mexico.

The Corpus Christi Church is a former church on Avenida Juárez in the Historic center of Mexico City. It is the only remaining part of the Convent of Corpus Christi, founded in 1724 for Indian women and which was closed as part of the Reform Laws. The architect of the baroque structure was Pedro de Arrieta who also designed the Palace of the Inquisition and the Church of San Felipe Neri "La Profesa".

The equestrian statue of Francisco I. Madero is installed outside the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, Mexico.

The statue of Alexander von Humboldt is installed in Mexico City's Alameda Central, in Mexico. The base has the inscription, "La Nación Mexicana a Alejandro de Humboldt – Benemerito de la Patria 1799–1999".

The Fountain of Mercury is installed in Mexico City's Alameda Central, in Mexico. The fountain's statue depicts Mercury (sometimes referred to as Hermes).

The Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL, English: National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature), located in the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, is the Mexican institution in charge of coordinating artistic and cultural activities (both at the political and the educational level) in the country.

The Santa Veracruz Monastery in the historic center of Mexico City is one of the oldest religious establishments in Mexico City and was the third most important church in the area in the 16th century. It was established by a religious brotherhood founded by Hernán Cortés.The parish church was originally built in 1586, but this building was replaced in the 18th century to the one standing today.
