Hougang MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North East line (NEL) in the Hougang planning area in Singapore. Located within the Hougang Town Centre, the station is directly connected to Hougang Central Bus Interchange and sits underneath that bus interchange.Opened on 20 June 2003 as part of the NEL, this station will become an interchange station along the Cross Island line (CRL) when stage 1 opens in 2030.

Hougang Mall (Chinese: 后港购物坊), previously known as NTUC Hougang Mall, is a suburban shopping mall in Hougang, Singapore. It is near Hougang Central Bus Interchange, as well as Hougang MRT station.In 2006, the mall underwent renovation; it transformed part of the second level, formerly occupied by NTUC FairPrice, into a food cluster.

Montfort Secondary School (MSS) is a Catholic school in Hougang, Singapore. Founded in 1916, it is a government-aided secondary education all-boys school.

Hougang Central Bus Interchange is a bus interchange serving the town of Hougang. It is located directly above Hougang MRT station. This bus interchange was planned to be an integrated transport hub. By 2030, Hougang Central Bus Interchange would be majorly renovated to accommodate the Cross Island line section, and would become an Integrated Transport Hub in 2030.

Cheng San Public Library is a public library in Hougang, located inside Hougang Mall. It is the third library of the National Library Board to be located in a mall and the first to acquire and display works by local artists. It is near Hougang MRT station and Hougang Central Bus Interchange.
