Cookstown (Irish: An Chorr Chríochach, IPA:[ˈanˠˈxoːɾˠɾˠˈçɾʲiːxəx]) is a small town in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is the fourth largest town in the county and had a population of 11,599 in the 2011 census. It, along with Magherafelt and Dungannon, is one of the main towns in the Mid-Ulster council area.

Cookstown High School is a combined Grammar School and Secondary School in Northern Ireland. It is one of the largest in the area, falling within the Southern Region of the Education Authority Northern Ireland.Unlike many grammar providers in Northern Ireland the school does not make use of extra transfer tests instead it offers children grammar provision on the basis of their academic ability as evidenced through their primary school attainment.

Cookstown District Council (Irish: Comhairle Cheantar na Coirre Críochaí; Ulster Scots: Districk Cooncil o Cookestoun) was a district council covering an area largely in County Tyrone and partly in County Londonderry. It merged with Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council and Magherafelt District Council in May 2015 under local government reorganisation in Northern Ireland to become Mid-Ulster District Council.

Cookstown Fr. Rock's Gaelic Athletic Club (Irish: CLG an tAth. Mac Con Carraige, An Chorra Chríochach) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Cookstown in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The club fields male and female teams across a multitude of age groups ranging from Under 6s to senior level.
