Aspire Park Running Trail

The 12th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) were held in Doha, Qatar on 3–7 December 2014. The Hamad Aquatic Centre in the Aspire Zone hosted the event.

Aspire Park is located in Aspire Zone, in the southern district of Baaya in Doha, Qatar. It covers an area of 88 hectares and it is Doha's biggest park. It is a great place to have picnics and family outdoors while overlooking the Aspire Tower, especially at night. The park has different features such as beautiful fountains, playgrounds for children, and other fun features.

Al Aziziya (Arabic: العزيزية‎) is a district in the municipality of Al Rayyan in Qatar, located on the outskirts of Doha.

The 2012 Villaggio Mall fire occurred at 11:30 on May 28, 2012 in Villaggio Mall, Doha, Qatar. The fire left at least 19 people dead and another 17 were injured. The fire is reported as having started in the facility's nursery, and 13 of the victims were children. Five people were found guilty Thursday of death by negligence after a Doha mall blaze; a spokesman said.

Villaggio Mall is a shopping mall located in the Aspire Zone in the west end of Doha, the capital city of Qatar. It is located on Al Waab street between the Hyatt Plaza and Sports City and has over 200 stores, including many famous brands in the U.S., U.K., Italian and German markets.Inside, the interiors are Italianate-themed both as an Italian hill town, but also with a 150-meter long indoor canal with gondolas.

Hamad Aquatic Centre is a large swimming pool complex in Doha, Qatar. As part of the Doha sports city that encompasses a number of other complexes in the area it was the venue for aquatic events at the 2006 Asian Games.The Centre was the focus of controversy in October 2013. That month, Israeli swimmer Amit Ivry finished 2nd and won a silver medal in the women's 100 meter mixed individual medley at the FINA Swimming World Cup in swimming at the Centre, breaking the Israeli national record at 58.43 seconds.
