National Yang-Ming University (NYMU; Chinese: 國立陽明大學) was a research university located in Shipai, Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan. It was known for research in the fields of Medicine, Life Sciences and Biotechnology. In the 2010 QS Asian Universities Rankings, Yang Ming University was placed 4th among universities in Taiwan and 2nd in the field of Life Science & Biomedicine.

Taipei Veterans General Hospital (Chinese: 台北榮民總醫院; pinyin: Táiběi Róngmín Zǒngyī Yuàn) is a national first-class medical center and a teaching hospital that provides tertiary patient care, undergraduate medical education programs and residency programs in Taiwan. It was founded in 1958 and administered by the Veterans Affairs Council.

The National Research Institute of Chinese Medicine (NRICM; Chinese: 國家中醫藥研究所 (前身: 國立中國醫藥研究所); pinyin: Guólì Zhōngguó Yīyào Yánjiū Suǒ) is a research center responsible for research, experimental and development issues of Chinese medicine. It is located in the Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan and run under the guidance of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China.
