Sygun Copper Mine
Tourist Attraction
Sygun Copper Mine is a Victorian copper mine which closed in 1903 but was renovated and reopened by the Amies family as a tourist attraction in 1986, focusing on audio-visual tours of the underground workings. Sygun Copper Mine was once a main supplier of minerals in Wales. It is located about one mile (1.6 km) outside of the village of Beddgelert in the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.

It is formed by the River Glaslyn.Llyn Dinas lies on the valley floor a few miles north of Beddgelert at an altitude of about 55 metres above sea level. A498 road

The A498 is a 16-mile road between Pen-y-Gwryd and Porthmadog in North Wales. At Pen-y-Gwryd, the A4086 Llanberis Pass route bears off to the north. The A498 descends from a 277 m (909 ft.) summit at Pen-y-Gwryd and runs south west through the village of Beddgelert and the Aberglaslyn Pass, where it overlaps the A4085.
Beddgelert Fault

Beddgelert Fault First reported in a Memoir of the British Geological Survey activity ref. Ramsay 1881. It is a SW-NE trending volcanotectonic fault in North Wales that formed part of a graben system within the collapsed Snowdon caldera structure. It was a focus for later felsic intrusions and hydrothermal activity.
Pont Aberglaslyn

Pont Aberglaslyn is a bridge over the Afon Glaslyn and the surrounding hamlet, located near Beddgelert and Nantmor in Gwynedd, north-west Wales. A well-known beauty spot, according to Peter Bishop it was "one of the most visited sites in north Wales" at the end of the eighteenth century; an 1883 guidebook wrote that it "has occupied the artist's pencil perhaps more than any other".
Nantmor railway station

Nantmor is a railway halt in North Wales serving the nearby hamlet of the same name. It is located between the stations of Beddgelert and Pont Croesor on the recently restored Welsh Highland Railway. It had existed during the first period of the WHR, 1923–1936, and was rebuilt for the current line, opening on 27 May 2010.
