The International Criminal Police Organization (ICPO-INTERPOL; French: Organisation internationale de police criminelle), more commonly known as INTERPOL (UK: INT-ə-pol, US: -⁠ər-pohl), is an international organization that facilitates worldwide police cooperation and crime control. Headquartered in Lyon, France, it was founded in 1923 as the International Criminal Police Commission (ICPC); the name INTERPOL served as the agency's telegraphic address in 1946, and was chosen as its common name in 1956.

Lumière University Lyon 2 (French: Université Lumière Lyon 2) is one of the three universities that comprise the current University of Lyon, having splintered from an older university of the same name, and is primarily based on two campuses in Lyon itself. The 22nd G7 Summit was held in Lyon, France, on June 27–29, 1996. The venue for this summit meeting was the Museum of Contemporary Art, Lyon (Musée d'art Contemporain de Lyon). The locations of previous summits to have been hosted by France include: Rambouillet (1975), Versailles (1982) and Paris (1989).

The IAE Lyon Institut d'Administration des Entreprises (Institute of Business Administration), is the school of Management of the Jean Moulin University Lyon3. Its main campus is located in the historical complex of the “Manufacture des Tabacs” in the heart of Lyon, France.Founded in 1956 the IAE Lyon has 7,800 students in 2018 (including 3000 in postgraduate studies), accounting for 27% of the 29,000 students at Lyon 3 University.

The Palais des Congrès de Lyon (or "Cité des Congrès de Lyon" or "Centre de Congrès de Lyon") is a convention hall which is part of the Cité Internationale, a newly built district of Lyon, France.

Lyon Zoo (fr. Zoo de Lyon, also known as Jardin zoologique de Lyon, or Zoo du Parc de la Tête d'Or) is a zoo in France located in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes inside parc de la Tête d'Or in the town of Lyon. The zoo was founded 1858 by Claude-Marius Vaïsse (8 July 1799 – 8 August 1864), a French lawyer who joined the administration of the July Monarchy.

The Musée d'art contemporain de Lyon is a museum devoted to contemporary art, located in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon, in the Cité Internationale, next to the cinema, in front of the Parc de la Tête d'Or. It had over 42,000 visitors in 2007.

Cité Internationale (International City) is a quarter in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon, France. It is situated between the Rhône and Parc de la Tête d'Or and encompasses an area that had previously been the location of the Fair of Lyon. It is connected to the commune of Caluire-et-Cuire by the Passerelle de la Paix.

The Berges du Rhône (Banks of the Rhône) or Quais du Rhône (Quays of the Rhône) refer to a series of parks, quays, streets and walking paths along the Rhône river in Lyon, France. The construction for the modern Berges du Rhône took place between 2005 and 2007, resulting in the development of 10 hectares of land on the left and right banks of the Rhône from Parc de la Tête d'Or to Parc de Gerland.
