The Embassy of the United Kingdom in Tehran is the United Kingdom's diplomatic mission to the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is located at 198 Ferdowsi Avenue in Tehran.Following the 2011 attack on the Embassy and the expulsion of the British ambassador by Iran, Britain reduced its diplomatic relations with Iran to "the lowest possible level" and closed its embassy.

On 6 December 2005 (Azar 15, 1384) at 14:10 local time (10:40 UTC), a Lockheed C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft of the Iranian air force, tail number 5-8519, c/n 4399, crashed into a ten-storey apartment building in a residential area of Tehran, the capital city of Iran.The aircraft, bound for Bandar Abbas on the Persian Gulf, was carrying 10 crew and 84 passengers, of whom 68 were reportedly journalists en route to watch a series of military exercises off the country's southern coast.

The Glassware and Ceramic Museum of Iran (Persian: موزهٔ آبگینه و سفالینه ایران‎, Muze-ye Abgineh va Sofalineh-ye Irān) or simply Abgineh Museum (Persian: موزهٔ آبگینه‎, Muze-ye Abgineh) is located at 30 Tir Street (formerly known as Ghavam Al Saltaneh Street), in Tehran, Iran. The Plasco Building (Persian: ساختمان پلاسکو‎, romanized: Sâkhtemân-e Pelâsko) was a 17-story high-rise landmark building in Tehran, the capital city of Iran. At the time of its construction in the 1960s it was the tallest building in Iran and was considered an iconic part of the Tehran skyline. The building collapsed on 19 January 2017 during a high-rise fire.
