Hat Yai (Thai: หาดใหญ่, pronounced [hàːt jàj], also Haad Yai or Had Yai) is a city in southern Thailand near the Malaysian border. Located at 7°1′N 100°28′E, it is 946 km (588 mi) south of Bangkok, and has a population of 158,218 (2012) in the city itself and about 800,000 in the greater Hat Yai area.

Hatyai Hospital (Thai: โรงพยาบาลหาดใหญ่) is a general hospital in Hat Yai, Songkhla Province, Thailand. A regional hospital under the Ministry of Public Health, it serves as a referral centre for nearby community hospitals mainly within Songkhla, but also in parts of Pattani and Satun Provinces. It nominally has a capacity of 640 beds, but as is often the case with most regional hospitals, faces problems of overcrowding and is over capacity most of the time.

Khlong Hae Floating Market (Thai: ตลาดน้ำคลองแห) is a floating market in Thailand regarded as the first and only floating market in the southern Thailand. It is located in Tambon Khlong Hae, Amphoe Hat Yai, Songkhla Province opposite Wat Khlong Hae.The traders here will dress in Thai retro costumes and there are many food choices including local food, Thai food and Muslim food.

Chira Nakhon Stadium (Thai: สนามกีฬาจิระนคร) is a football stadium in Hat Yai, Songkhla Thailand. It is the home stadium of Hatyai F.C. and Songkhla FC. The stadium holds 25,000 spectators and opened in 1944.
