Meriken Park

The K computer – named for the Japanese word/numeral "kei" (京), meaning 10 quadrillion (1016) – is a supercomputer manufactured by Fujitsu, currently installed at the Riken Advanced Institute for Computational Science campus in Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. The K computer is based on a distributed memory architecture with over 80,000 compute nodes.

Kobe Animal Kingdom (神戸どうぶつ王国, Kōbe Dōbutsu Ōkoku) is an animal and flower park located on Port Island in Kobe, Japan. It is mainly located in and around a greenhouse. It was called Kobe Kachoen (神戸花鳥園, Kōbe Kachōen) until 18 July 2014. It is one of several theme parks created by Japanese botanist and collector Kamo Mototeru, and was opened on 15 March 2006.

The Kobe City Museum (神戸市立博物館, Kōbe-shiritsu Hakubutsukan) opened in Kobe, Japan in 1982. It is one of Japan's many museums which are supported by a municipality.The museum resulted from the merger of the Municipal Archaeological Art Museum and Municipal Namban Art Museum. The museum is housed in a neoclassical building built in 1935: the former Kobe branch of the Yokohama Specie Bank.

Harborland (神戸ハーバーランド, kōbe-hābārando) is a shopping district in Chuo-ku, Kobe, Japan. Kobe Port Tower is located there.This shopping district was made on the site of the former freight yard, Minatogawa Kamotsu Station of the Japanese National Railways. The yard was removed in 1982 and the shopping district opened in 1992.

Yamato-1 is a ship built in the early 1990s by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. at Wadasaki-cho Hyogo-ku, Kobe. She uses magnetohydrodynamic drives (MHDs) driven by liquid helium-cooled superconductors and can travel at 15 km/h (8 knots).Yamato-1 was the first working prototype of her kind. She was completed in Japan in 1991, by the Ship & Ocean Foundation (later known as the Ocean Policy Research Foundation).

The Kobe Port Tower (神戸ポートタワー, Kōbe Pōto Tawā) is one of the landmarks in the port city of Kobe, Japan. The sightseeing tower was completed in 1963 and paused operation from late 2009 until April 28, 2010 for renovation. It is located in the Central District, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
