SW path West Bay

The River Brit is a river in west Dorset in south-west England, which rises just to the north of Beaminster. It then flows south to Netherbury and Bridport, where it is joined by tributaries: the River Simene and River Asker. South of Bridport, it reaches Lyme Bay on the English Channel coast, at West Bay.

The Riverside Restaurant used to be a seafood restaurant in West Bay, England. The building is situated on a causeway and as such the dining area is on two levels with views of the river and beyond to the sea. In 2006 locally based food writer Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall listed it as one of his top five seafood restaurants.

Eype Mouth is a natural break in a line of sea cliffs on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site in west Dorset on the south coast of England. The small River Eype drains into the sea at this point. Eype means 'a steep place' in Old English. The village of Eype (divided into the settlements Lower and Higher Eype) lies just upstream of the rivermouth, which is reached by a single narrow lane which runs down through Lower Eype to a shingle beach with car park.

The Pier Terrace in West Bay, Dorset, was designed by the English Arts and Crafts architect Edward Schroeder Prior in 1884–85. It is a Grade II listed building.Pier Terrace is one of Prior's most important early buildings. The influence of Norman Shaw, particularly his Sisters of Bethany Convent, is still apparent in the double pitched tiled roof, stepped rhythm, tile hanging and bay windows of the terrace.

West Bay, also known as Bridport Harbour, is a small harbour settlement and resort on the English Channel coast in Dorset, England, sited at the mouth of the River Brit approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south of Bridport. The area is part of the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site.The harbour at West Bay is not a natural landscape feature and it has a long history of having been silted up, blocked by shingle and damaged by storms, and each time repairs, improvements and enlargements have subsequently been made.

Seatown is a coastal hamlet in Dorset, England, sited on the English Channel approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) west-southwest of Bridport. It lies within the civil parish of Chideock.The coast at Seatown is part of the Jurassic Coast, a world heritage site stretching for 96 miles (154 km). The surrounding area is also designated part of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

St John's Church is an active Church of England church in West Bay, Dorset, England. It was built in 1935-39 to the designs of William Henry Randoll Blacking and has been a Grade II listed building since 1975.

Thorncombe Beacon is a hill situated between Bridport and Charmouth in Dorset, England. It lies about 1 km west of Eype Mouth and 2 km east of Seatown. It is in the very south-west part of Symondsbury parish close to the parish of Chideock. It lies close to the South West Coast Path and the Monarch's Way, which skirt the hilltop.
