It is located on the eastern coast of Hong Kong Island, south of Cape Collinson and north of Shek O.Big Wave Bay has a beach. It is also the site of a rock carving, which is a declared monument.

Chai Wan (Chinese: 柴灣) is the eastern terminus of the MTR Island Line on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. It is the only station on the Island Line that is elevated. The station is located at the junction of Chai Wan Road and Island Eastern Corridor, and it serves Siu Sai Wan and Chai Wan, a primarily residential and industrial town, and the bus terminus nearby has bus and minibus routes to Siu Sai Wan and Stanley, as well as the nearby residential developments.

Sai Wan War Cemetery (Chinese: 西灣國殤紀念墳場) is a military cemetery located in Chai Wan, Hong Kong which was built in 1946. The cemetery was created to commemorate soldiers of Hong Kong Garrison who perished during both the First World War and the Second World War. According to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC), the commemorative graves/plaques of 914 soldiers from Undivided India are grouped in 3 memorial locations within the Sai Wan cemetery complex : 104 Indian soldiers whose tombstones are located on the slopes of Sai Wan Cemetery, 287 more Indian soldiers interred at Sai Wan Memorial while a further 118 Indian soldiers whose remains were cremated according to their religious customs are inscribed on commemorative plaques at the Sai Wan Cremation Memorial.

Pottinger Peak (Chinese: 砵甸乍山) is a mountain on the eastern side of Hong Kong Island. It is located south of Chai Wan and Siu Sai Wan and north of Big Wave Bay.Initially known as Ma Tong Peak, it was renamed Pottinger Peak after Henry Pottinger, the first Governor of Hong Kong.The peak is 312m above sea level.

Youth Square (Chinese: 青年廣場), formerly known as Hong Kong Centre for Youth Development (香港青年發展中心) is a youth activities complex in Hong Kong. It is located at 238 Chai Wan Road, Chai Wan on Hong Kong Island. It is owned by Home Affairs Bureau of Hong Kong Government. The construction of Youth Square commenced in 2001 and was completed in 2008.

Law Uk is a former Hakka village house in Chai Wan, Hong Kong. Named after the surname of the family who lived in the house, it was built in the mid-18th century during the Qing Dynasty, about 90 years before the British took possession of Hong Kong Island. It was rediscovered in the 1970s and is a declared monument of Hong Kong.
