Nou Barris (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈnɔw ˈβaris], lit. "nine neighbourhoods") is one of the ten districts into which Barcelona has been officially divided since 1984. The name refers to the original nine neighbourhoods it was composed of, even though nowadays it's made up of thirteen. It covers an area of 8.04 km2.

Line 4, also known as Trinitat Nova – La Pau, usually called "línia groga" (yellow line), is a line in the Barcelona Metro network operated by TMB, and part of the ATM fare-integrated transport network. Llucmajor is a Barcelona Metro station, on L4.Part of the extension of that line from Guinardó into Nou Barris opened in 1982, it takes its name from Plaça de Llucmajor, the previous name of Plaça de la República, the central square of the district. The station is located under Passeig de Verdum, between carrer de Lorena and carrer de Formentor, and can be accessed from that intersection and from Jardins d'Alfàbia.

Casa de l'Aigua is a station on line 11 of the Barcelona Metro.Built in 2003, this single-platform station has a single level access opening onto Carrer Aiguablava.
