Club de Golf del Uruguay is an Uruguayan sports and social club from the city of Montevideo. Although golf is the main sport of the institution, the club hosts a large variety of sports such as billar, basketball, basque pelota, fencing, football, futsal, karate, rugby union and swimming apart from other social activities.

The Estadio Luis Franzini (or Luis Franzini Stadium) is an outdoor football stadium located in Montevideo, Uruguay. The stadium's maximum capacity is 18,000 people, and it is the home ground of Defensor Sporting. The stadium was closed during the 1997 season for renovations. It reopened on 16 August 1998 with the name Nuevo Estadio Luis Franzini.

Barrio Jardín is a small neighbourhood of Montevideo, Uruguay, which is part of barrio Parque Rodó. It was formerly known as "Parque del Pueblo". It is delimited by España Boulevard to its north, 21 de Setiembre Avenue to its south and west and Artigas Boulevard to its east. Directly to the north is situated the Faculty of Architecture of the University of the Republic, while to its east is the barrio Pocitos.

Artigas Boulevard is an avenue in Montevideo named after Uruguayan hero José Artigas. It starts from the Rambla of Montevideo (coastal avenue) at Punta Carretas, goes north for about 6.5 kilometers, turns 100° west, and runs for another 4 kilometers up to the Rambla at Capurro - Bella Vista.It meets with Montevideo's most important avenue, 18 de Julio Avenue, in Tres Cruces.

It was established in 1857 for the children of German traders, artists, engineers and diplomats living in Montevideo.

Parque Rodó is both a barrio (neighbourhood or district) of Montevideo, Uruguay and a park which lies mostly outside the limits of the barrio itself and belongs to Punta Carretas. The name "Rodó" has been given in memory of José Enrique Rodó, an important Uruguayan writer whose monument is in the southern side of the main park.
