Poitiers (UK: , also UK: , US: , French: [pwatje] (listen)) is a city on the Clain river in west-central France. It is a commune and the capital of the Vienne department and also of the Poitou. Poitiers is a significant university centre. The centre of town is picturesque and its streets include predominantly historical architecture, especially religious architecture and especially from the Romanesque period.

The Église Saint-Hilaire-le-Grand is a church in Poitiers, France. It was named after Hilary of Poitiers (Hilaire in French).The church dates back to the 11th century, and was consecrated in 1049. It was damaged during the French Revolution and was restored in the second half of the 19th century. The church received a new portal, and the nave was partly reconstructed.

Grand-Poitiers is the communauté urbaine, an intercommunal structure, centred on the city of Poitiers. It is located in the Vienne department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, western France. It was created on 1 January 2017 as a communauté d'agglomération and transformed into a communauté urbaine on 1 July 2017.

The Blossac Park (French: Parc de Blossac) is a historic private garden, now a public park, in Poitiers, France. It was established by Paul Esprit Marie de La Bourdonnaye, Count of Blossac, in the 18th century. It is the largest park in Poitiers.
