The Palace of Inquisition, also known as the Inquisition Palace, (Spanish: Palacio de la Inquisición Spanish pronunciation: [paˈlasjo ðe laĩŋkisiˈsjõn]) is an eighteenth-century the seat of the Holy Office of the Inquisition in Cartagena, now in modern Colombia. Finished around 1770, it currently serves as a museum showcasing historical artifacts.

The Cathedral of Cartagena in Colombia, officially the Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of Saint Catherine of Alexandria (Spanish: Catedral Basílica Metropolitana de Santa Catalina de Alejandría), is located in the historic centre of Cartagena. The Capture of the galleon San Joaquin or the Battle of Cartagena was a naval engagement that took place off the coast near Cartagena (present day Colombia). It involved five British ships of the line against the Spanish galleon San Joaquin and a smaller ship. After an action lasting barely an hour the Spanish ship surrendered.

Torre de la Escollera was a 206 m (676 ft) tall residential skyscraper with 58 floors planned to be built in Cartagena, Colombia. The under construction building suffered severe structural damage during a storm on May 13, 2007, and was dismantled later that year. Had it been completed, it would have been the tallest building in Colombia.
