Toton Traction Maintenance Depot or Toton Sidings is one of the largest rail depots in the United Kingdom. Toton TMD is bordered by Long Eaton and Sandiacre in Derbyshire and Toton in Nottinghamshire. The official depot code for Toton TMD is TO, previously shed code 18A. The disused section of Toton sidings is the proposed site for the East Midlands Hub station, on the Leeds branch of High Speed 2, Phase Two.

East Midlands Hub is a planned new railway station on the Leeds Branch of High Speed 2. It is intended to be located on the existing railway sidings in Toton, situated between Nottingham and Derby. A connection to the Nottingham tram system and new connections to existing rail services are proposed, to link the station to Nottingham, Derby and Leicester railway stations.

Stapleford and Sandiacre railway station served the towns of Stapleford, Nottinghamshire and Sandiacre, Derbyshire, England from 1847 to 1967 on the Erewash Valley Line.
