Zakliczyn

Zakliczyn [zaˈklʲit͡ʂɨn] is a town in Tarnów County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland, with a population of 1,558 (2006). Zakliczyn lies on the right bank of the Dunajec river, surrounded by wooded hills 300 to 500 metres (984 to 1,640 feet) above sea level. Zakliczyn has a town hall, located in a spacious market square, one of the largest in the province, at 100 by 170 metres (328 by 558 feet).

Its seat is the town of Zakliczyn, which lies approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) south-west of Tarnów and 68 km (42 mi) east of the regional capital Kraków.The gmina covers an area of 122.55 square kilometres (47.3 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 12,242 (out of which the population of Zakliczyn amounts to 1,556, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 10,686).

Zdonia [ˈzdɔɲa] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Zakliczyn, within Tarnów County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 2 kilometres (1 mi) west of Zakliczyn, 25 km (16 mi) south-west of Tarnów, and 67 km (42 mi) east of the regional capital Kraków.
