Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics

Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce is a college affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University(formerly Pune University) in the city of Pune, Maharashtra. The College was established in 1943, in Pune by the Deccan Education Society.In 1944, Chandrashekhar Agashe, the Managing Agent of the Brihan Maharashtra Sugar Syndicate Ltd., was instrumental in getting a donation of Rs 2,00,000/- for the college from the Syndicate, hence the name Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce.
