Tatyshev Island

Krasnoyarsk ( KRA(H)SS-nə-YARSK; Russian: Красноя́рск, tr. Krasnojársk, IPA: [krəsnɐˈjarsk] (listen)) is a city and the administrative center of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, located on the Yenisei River. It is the third-largest city in Siberia after Novosibirsk and Omsk, with a population of 1,035,528 as of the 2010 Census.

Yeniseysk Governorate (Russian: Енисе́йская губе́рния) was a governorate (guberniya) of the Russian Empire and later of the Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic.The Governorate was established on January 26, 1822 when the territory of Siberia was divided into two governorates general: West Siberian and East Siberian.

The Kacha (Russian: Ка́ча) is a river in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. The Turkic name of the river is Izyr-Su, and it has been suggested that the Russian name is derived from Izyr-Kichi "Izyr people", the self-name of the Turkic people that inhabited the river valley and adjacent lands.The length of the Kacha is 103 kilometers (64 mi); the area of its drainage basin is 1,280 square kilometers (490 sq mi).

Siberian State Technological University is the oldest university in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. It was established in 1930 as the Siberian Institute of Forest (Сибирский лесотехнический институт). Later it was known as the Siberian Technical Institute of Forest (Сибирский лесотехнический институт) (renamed 1933), Siberian Technological Institute (Сибирский технологический институт) (renamed 1958), Krasnoyarsk State Technological Academy (Красноярская государственная технологическая академия) (renamed 1994) and finally the Siberian State Technological University (renamed 1997).
