The Adelaide Park Lands are the figure-eight of land spanning both banks of the River Torrens between Hackney and Thebarton and separating the City of Adelaide from the surrounding suburbia of greater Metropolitan Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. They were laid out by Colonel William Light in his design for the city, and originally consisted of 2,300 acres (930 ha) "exclusive of 32 acres (13 ha) for a public cemetery".

The Division of Adelaide is an Australian electoral division in South Australia and is named for the city of Adelaide, South Australia's capital.At the 2016 federal election, the electorate covered 76 km², is centred on the Adelaide city centre and spanning from Grand Junction Road in the north to Cross Road in the south and from Portrush Road in the east to Marion and Holbrooks Road in the west, taking in suburbs including Ashford, Clarence Park, Enfield, Goodwood, Kent Town, Keswick, Kilburn, Mansfield Park, Maylands, Northgate, Norwood, Parkside, Prospect, Rose Park, St Peters, Toorak Gardens, Torrensville, Thebarton, Unley and Walkerville.

Adelaide is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. The 22.8 km² state seat of Adelaide currently consists of the Adelaide city centre including North Adelaide and suburbs to the inner north and inner north east: Collinswood, Fitzroy, Gilberton, Medindie, Medindie Gardens, Ovingham, Thorngate, Walkerville, most of Prospect, and part of Nailsworth.

Brougham Place Uniting Church is a church on Brougham Place, North Adelaide, South Australia. It was formerly the North Adelaide Congregational Church.Edmund Wright is attributed as the architect of the church and the foundation stone was laid on 15 May 1860. A tower was added in 1871 and a lecture hall in 1878 designed by architect Thomas Frost.

North Adelaide was an electoral district of the House of Assembly in the Australian state of South Australia from 1875 to 1902 and again from 1915 to 1938.North Adelaide was also the name of an electoral district of the unicameral South Australian Legislative Council from 1851 until its abolition in 1857, John Bentham Neales being the elected member.

Central District No. 1 was an electoral district for the South Australian Legislative Council from 1913 until 1975. It was created by the Constitution Act Further Amendment Act 1913, which divided the Central District into two districts, each to elect four members. The size of the Legislative Council was to remain at 18 until the next general election, and increase to 20 by adding a new member for each of the two new districts.

The Fire Station Inn, also known as the North Adelaide Fire Station, at 82 Tynte Street, is a historic fire station building in North Adelaide, South Australia.It was built as a shop in 1866. It was renovated to serve as a fire station in 1904. As of 2018, it is used as tourist accommodation.It was listed as a State Heritage Place on the South Australian Heritage Register on 11 September 1986.
