Finally made it to my first 5k Parkrun in Edinburgh by joining the hundreds of runners in the Cramond Parkrun; had to take a taxi there as I was running late and I had suffered an anaphylactic shock during the night, so I was not in a shape to walk a new 5.3 mile route to make it in time before the 9.30am run kicks off. Even by Uber I only just about made it -8.27an arrival time. I was surprised by the large number of runners; the most populated park run for me to participate in.
Ran steady and towards the end picked up pace, but was shattered.
On the way back, more exuberant crowds on the streets with peoples hedging to the BT Murreyfield stadium for a rugby match. It was nice to run up with people on such a long unfamiliar territory. Scenic varied views of a mix of countryside and urban sprawl as you can see from photos. I felt relaxed and at ease but tired. Will sleep it off in the afternoon before getting in with work.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.🍿
