Toulouse Business School (former name French: École Supérieure de Commerce de Toulouse) was founded in 1903 by the Toulouse Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the school's initial vocation was to respond to the needs of the local business community for able business administrators.TBS holds the triple accreditation AACSB/EQUIS/AMBA.

The Toulouse School of Economics (TSE; French: École d'économie de Toulouse) is a school within the Toulouse 1 University Capitole, a constituent college of the Federal University of Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées, located in Toulouse, France. While the core focus is economics, TSE offers a range of academic degrees spanning licences (French equivalent to bachelor's degrees), several master's degrees and a doctoral (PhD) programme.

The Society of Moulins du Bazacle was founded in Toulouse in the 12th century by the citizens of the city, seven centuries before the Industrial Revolution, to share the operation of a series of mills installed on the site of the Bazacle. The mills were used to process wheat harvested from the Toulouse Plain into flour.

The Bazacle is a structure in and on the banks of the River Garonne in the French city of Toulouse.It originated as a ford across the river Garonne, used from the 12th century onwards. The name bazacle comes from the Latin word vadaculum, meaning "little ford". The first bridge across the Garonne was built here, where the water was shallowest.
