Newbury port

Brown Square is a small green space in downtown Newburyport, Massachusetts.It is named for New England merchant, Moses Brown (1742–1827), who lived in Brown Square House adjacent to the square. There were several anti-slavery gatherings in the square.The square has a memorial statue to William Lloyd Garrison.

The Brown Square House, now the Garrison Inn, is a historic pair of rowhouses at 11 Brown Square in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Built in 1809-10, they form the largest surviving brick building from the Federal period in the city. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, and included in the Newburyport Historic District in 1984.

The Newburyport Harbor Front Range Light is one of two historic range lights in Newburyport, Massachusetts. When it was built in 1873, it was located at Bayley's Wharf, and provided, in combination with the Rear Range Light, a critical aid for navigating into Newburyport's harbor. In 1964 the light was moved to its present location on the grounds of the Merrimack River Coast Guard Station.

The former United States Customhouse (now the Custom House Maritime Museum) is a historic building at 25 Water Street in Newburyport, Massachusetts.The Classical Revival style building was constructed in 1834 and served a custom house until Newburyport declined in popularity as a major port. The Newburyport Maritime Society, Inc.

The Coffin House is a historic Colonial American house, currently estimated to have been constructed circa 1678. It is located at 14 High Road, Newbury, Massachusetts and operated as a non-profit museum by Historic New England. The house is open on the first and third Saturday of the month from June through October.

The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Newburyport is a Greek Orthodox Church in Newburyport, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1917 by 60 Greek-Americans but did not have a building to worship in until 1924. In August 1983, a fire burned down the church; it was later rebuilt in 1985. The church is still active to this day.

The Benjamin Coker House is a historic First Period house at 172 State Street in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The oldest portion of the house, the central chimney and the rooms to its left, were built c. 1700 on a site at the corner of High and Federal Streets. The building was widened in the mid 18th century, adding the rooms to the right.

The Newburyport Harbor Rear Range Light is a historic lighthouse at 61½ Water St. near the Merrimack River in Newburyport, Massachusetts. It was built in 1873 as one of a pair of range lights for guiding ships up the river to the city's harbor.

The Newburyport Historic District encompasses most of the historic downtown area of Newburyport, Massachusetts. It is roughly bounded by the Merrimack River, Marlboro Street, Ashland Street and High Streets. Covering some 750 acres (300 ha) of land and more than 2,500 contributing buildings, it includes the most populous part of the city, and a panoply of architectural styles, dating from the 17th century to the early 20th century.

Newburyport Public Library, in Newburyport, Massachusetts, was founded in September, 1854, by Josiah Little. It opened its doors to the public on September 5, 1855, in Ward Room 4 of the new City Hall. On that day its collection amounted to about 5750 books. Its operating budget depended at first on legacies and the generosity of private citizens.
