Hamburg (English: , German: [ˈhambʊʁk] (listen); Low Saxon: Hamborg), officially the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (German: Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg; Low Saxon: Friee un Hansestadt Hamborg), is the second-largest city in Germany after Berlin and 8th largest city in the European Union with a population of over 1.8 million.

Domkirche St. Marien (English: St. Mary's Cathedral) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Sankt Georg, Hamburg, Germany, and the metropolitan cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Hamburg (as of 1995). It was the first new Roman Catholic church built in Hamburg since the Reformation.

The AMD Akademie Mode & Design is the design department of the private Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. With locations in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Wiesbaden (start 2019), Munich and Berlin, AMD is thus part of one of the largest private universities of applied sciences in Germany and is based in Idstein together with the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences.

Der Hamburger und Germania Ruder Club (DHuGRC) is a rowing club from Rotherbaum, Hamburg, Germany. It was founded in 1836 as Der Hamburger Ruder Club, the club is the fourth oldest rowing club in the world (2nd if only counting non-academically affiliated clubs) after Brasenose College Boat Club, Jesus College Boat Club (Oxford) and Leander Club .

Ernst Deutsch Theater is a theatre in Hamburg, Germany. The former cinema in the Uhlenhorst quarter is Germany's largest privately owned theatre. It has been founded in 1951 and was named after the famous actor Ernst Deutsch. Today the theatre with seating facilities for 744 people specializes in contemporary plays.

The Bust of Alessandro Peretti di Montalto is a portrait sculpture by the Italian artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Executed in 1622 and 1623, the sculpture is now in the Kunsthalle Hamburg, in Germany. Although possibly mentioned by one of Bernini's early biographers, the bust had been considered lost and therefore makes no appearance in Rudolf Wittkower's catalogue of Bernini’s sculptures of 1955.

The Guest House of the Senate of Hamburg (German: Gästehaus des Hamburger Senats) is a villa on the Außenalster in the Hamburg borough of Uhlenhorst. It was built in 1868 as a residence for building materials trader Johann Friedrich Krogmann. Designed by Martin Haller, the villa has two and a half floors and white plaster facades.

Wandse (in sections also called Eilbek) is a river of Schleswig-Holstein and of Hamburg, Germany.The Wandse rises west of the village of Siek in Kreis Stormarn in Schleswig-Holstein and ends in the center of Hamburg in the Alster. Along the banks of the Wandse there were many water mills. The river passes through the settlements of Siek, Braak, Stapelfeld, and Hamburg.

The Islamic Centre Hamburg (German: Islamisches Zentrum Hamburg) is one of the oldest mosques in Germany and Europe. Established in Hamburg, in northern Germany, in the late 1950s by a group of Iranian emigrants and business people it rapidly developed into one of the leading Islamic centres in the Western world.
