Rumelihisarı (also known as Rumelian Castle and Roumeli Hissar Castle) or Boğazkesen Castle (meaning "Strait-Blocker Castle" or literally "Throat-Cutter Castle") is a medieval fortress located in Istanbul, Turkey, on a series of hills on the European banks of the Bosphorus. The fortress also lends its name to the immediate neighborhood around it in the city's Sarıyer district.

Bebek is a historic Istanbul neighbourhood that falls within the boundaries and administration of the Beşiktaş district. It is located on Bebek Bay along the European shores of the Bosphorus strait and is surrounded by similarly affluent neighbourhoods such as Arnavutköy and Etiler.The literal meaning of the word "Bebek" in Turkish is "baby", which is a reference to the neighborhood's attractive positioning on the Bosphorus with its deep, sheltered bay and sweeping views in both directions along the waterway.

Baltalimanı is a neighborhood at a bay of the European coast of Bosporus, in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul, Turkey. The name means "axe port" in Turkish.The place is known for the Treaty of Balta Liman, signed between Great Britain and the Ottoman Empire in 1838.

Aşiyan Museum (Turkish: Aşiyan Müzesi) is the house of famous Turkish poet Tevfik Fikret (1867–1915) at Aşiyan neighborhood of Beşiktaş district in Istanbul. It was built in 1906 and later in 1945 converted to a museum. The museum is owned by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

Aşiyan is a planned underground station and the eastern terminus of the under construction F4 funicular line of the Istanbul Metro in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. Bebek Mosque (Turkish: Bebek Camii), officially Hümayûn-u Âbad Mosque (Ottoman Turkish: Hümayûn-u Âbad Cami‎ for: Prosperous Imperial Mosque) is a 1913-built mosque located in Bebek neighborhood of Beşiktaş district in Istanbul, Turkey.Bebek Mosque was designed by Mimar Kemaleddin (1870–1927) in the architectural style of First national architectural movement, and built in Bebek on the place of a mosque, which was commissioned by Grand Vizier Nevşehirli Damat Ibrahim Pasha (1666–1730).

Bebek Bay is a small bay on the Bosphorus, in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul. It was formerly a resort area that was home to a palace of the Ottoman sultan.

Boğaziçi University (Turkish: Boğaziçi Üniversitesi) is a major research university in Istanbul, Turkey. Its main campus is located on the European side of the Bosphorus strait.
