Jinan (Chinese: 济南; alternately romanized as Tsinan) is the capital of Shandong province in Eastern China. With a population of 6.8 million as of the 2010 census, it is the second-largest city in Shandong after Qingdao. The area of present-day Jinan has played an important role in the history of the region from the earliest beginnings of civilization and has evolved into a major national administrative, economic, and transportation hub.

Daming Lake (Chinese: 大明湖; pinyin: Dà Míng Hú; Wade–Giles: Ta4 Ming2 Hu2; lit. 'Lake of the Great Splendour') is the largest lake in the city of Jinan, Shandong, China and one of city's main natural and cultural landmarks. Located to the north of the historical city center, the lake is fed by the artesian karst springs of the area and hence retains a fairly constant water level through the entire year.

Jinan Zoo (济南动物园), formerly known as Taurus Park was founded in October 1959. It opened 1 May 1960, and was renamed Jinan Zoo on8 September 1989. Jinan Zoo is one of China's largest zoos in it is located in Shandong province.

The Hundred Flower Pond (Chinese: 百花洲; pinyin: Bǎihuā Zhōu also Chinese: 百花汀; pinyin: Bǎihuā Tīng or Chinese: 百花池; pinyin: Bǎihuā Chí) is a small artificial lake in the historical center of the City of Jinan, Shandong Province, China. It is located east of the northern end of Qushuiting Street and south of Daming Lake Road.

The Kuixu Library (Chinese: 奎虚书藏; pinyin: Kuíxū Shūcáng) is a historical building of the Shandong Provincial Library in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, China.

Qushuiting Street (Chinese: 曲水亭街; pinyin: Qūshuǐtíng Jiē; lit. 'Winding water pavilion street' is a culturally significant alley in the historical center of the City of Jinan, Shandong Province, China. The history of the street can be traced back to the times of the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534).
