Birmingham canals

The Battle of Camp Hill (or the Battle of Birmingham) took place on Easter Monday, 3 April 1643, in and around Camp Hill, during the First English Civil War. In the skirmish, a company of Parliamentarians from the Lichfield garrison with the support of some of the local townsmen, approximately 300 men, attempted to stop a detachment of 1,400 Royalists under the command of Prince Rupert from passing through the unfortified parliamentary town of Birmingham.

AIR was a 2,000 capacity superclub located in Digbeth, Birmingham in England. AIR originally started out life as a spray shop for buses, when in 2000 the building was bought by Godskitchen and converted into a club, originally named CODE. In June 2003, CODE closed for a complete refit and reopened in late September 2003 under the new name of AIR.

Bordesley Hall was an 18th-century hall which stood in a 15 hectare (40 acre) park south of the Coventry Road in what is now Small Heath, Birmingham.It was built for the manufacturer and banker John Taylor in 1767 to replace an existing manor house on land that had previously belonged to the Holte family.
