Shing Mun River, Shatin

International Christian School is an English language, Christian independent school in Hong Kong. Opened on 1 September 1992, it provides education at all grades from kindergarten to the senior secondary levels.

Baptist Lui Ming Choi Secondary School (BLMCSS) (simplified Chinese: 浸信会吕明才中学; traditional Chinese: 浸信會呂明才中學) is a secondary school in Sha Tin, Hong Kong, near Lek Yuen Estate. It was established in 1978 by the Hong Kong Baptist Convention. ClubONE Riviera (Chinese: 會所1號 水中天), formerly called Star Seafood Restaurant (明星海鮮舫), and earlier called Treasure Floating Restaurant (敦煌畫舫), is a restaurant in Sha Tin, Hong Kong. Lek Yuen Bridge (Chinese: 瀝源橋) is a pedestrian footbridge in Sha Tin, Sha Tin New Town, New Territories, Hong Kong, across the Shing Mun River.The uncovered concrete footbridge was built in 1988. It is about 160 m in length with a structural area of about 1,000 m2.

It is situated along the Shing Mun River in the new town of Sha Tin, next to the New Town Plaza, Sha Tin Town Hall, and Sha Tin Public Library.The park occupies 8.05 hectares (19.89 acres) of land, and is managed by Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Sha Tin Sports Ground is a multi-use stadium at 18 Yuen Wo Road, Shatin, Hong Kong. It is adjacent to the Shing Mun River. It is currently used mostly for football matches by Shatin Sports Association. The stadium holds 5,000.

Sha Tin Airfield was a small military airfield in Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong, which had a single concrete runway. The airfield was located along the Shing Mun River and looked out to Tide Cove. The airfield served as a Flight (military unit) location for most of the location's existence.The airfield was demolished in the early 1970s as the RAF consolidated their operations at RAF Shek Kong and later re-developed as part of the New Town project for Shatin.

Sha Tin New Town is one of the new towns in Hong Kong. It is within the Sha Tin District, which covers the areas of Sha Tin, Tai Wai, Fo Tan, Tai Shui Hang, Ma On Shan. The Shing Mun River runs through the middle of the town.Development was started in the 1970s, and currently covers an area of 35.87 square kilometres with total developed area of about 20 km².
