Tooting Bec Common

The Tooting Commons consist of two adjacent areas of common land lying between Balham, Streatham and Tooting, in south west London: Tooting Bec Common and Tooting Graveney Common.Since 1996, they have been wholly within the London Borough of Wandsworth, which has administered both commons since 1971.

Battersea Grammar School was a Voluntary-Controlled Secondary Grammar School in South London. It was established in Battersea in 1875 by the Sir Walter St John Trust and moved to larger premises in Streatham in 1936.The school closed when it was amalgamated with Rosa Bassett School, a grammar school for girls, in 1977 to create the new Furzedown Secondary School, a mixed comprehensive school in Tooting.

The Self Transcendence 24 Hour Track Race London (popularly known as the Tooting 24) is an Ultramarathon race in London, England. The run takes place annually in September, organised by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team. It is on the Tooting Bec Athletics Track, on a 400-metre track. The race first took place in 1989.

Tooting Bec Lido is an open-air fresh water swimming pool in South London. It is the largest fresh water swimming pool by surface area in the United Kingdom, being 100 yards (91.44 m) long and 33 yards (30.18 m) wide.The Lido is on Tooting Bec Common between Tooting and Streatham. An original condition of construction was that it should be concealed from views across the common by a surrounding earth ramp.

Tooting Priory or Tooting Bec Priory was a priory in Tooting, now in the London Borough of Wandsworth. It was dissolved before 1315 and the land was granted to Eton College in 1440.
