Ramna Park

Ramna Park (Bengali: রমনা উদ্যান Rômna Uddan) is a large park and recreation area situated at the heart of Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. This forested park with pond near its center is one of the most beautiful areas in Dhaka. Islamabad's diplomatic district is named Ramna as a tribute to Ramna Park.

The Museum of Independence in Dhaka, Bangladesh depicts the struggle for independence of Bangladesh. It shows the history of the nation since Mughal tenure to independence in 1971. It is the first and only underground museum in the country. The museum is part of a 67-acre complex at Suhrawardy Udyan, the site from where Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave his historic speech declaring the struggle for independence, and where the Pakistani forces surrendered after the War of Liberation.

On 5 February 2013, protests began in Shahbag, Bangladesh following demands for capital punishment for Abdul Quader Mollah, who had been sentenced to life imprisonment, and convicted on five of six counts of war crimes by the International Crimes Tribunal of Bangladesh. Later demands included banning the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami party from politics including election and a boycott of institutions supporting (or affiliated with) the party.

BIRDEM, the Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders at Shahbag, Dhaka, Bangladesh, is a 600-bed multidisciplinary hospital complex of the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh. The Hospital was established in 1980 with the financial support of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Betar (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ বেতার) or BB is the national public broadcaster of Bangladesh. It was also known as Radio Bangladesh between 1975 and 1996.

Bailey road is a well-known thoroughfare in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. It is a classic road in Dhaka. It runs through Shantinagar, connecting the Kakrail-Ramna road with the Siddheshwari junction. It is generally regarded as one of the classier areas of the city. The bailey road is considered as two distinct roads, one after another, they are the new baily road and the Baily road.

Archbishop House (Bengali: আর্চ বিশপ হাউস) also known as Kakrail Church is an architecturally significant residence and church situated in Kakrail, Ramna Thana, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was first built in 1925, with a chapel on the east end. It had evolved 1947 in Lakkibazar (Puran Dhaka) and in 1957 it transferred to Kakrail.

Viqarunnisa University (Bengali: ভিকারুননিসা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a private university in Bangladesh. It was established in 2001. The university is on Bailey Road, Dhaka.Former member of the national parliament of Bangladesh and businessman Dr HBM Iqbal is the chairman of the Viqarunnisa University Foundation.

Kakrail Mosque (Bengali: কাকরাইল মসজিদ) is a mosque located near Ramna Park, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is the center of Tablighi Jamaat in Bangladesh. Maulana Zubair Ahmed (Bengali: মাওলানা জুবায়ের আহমদ) was imam of Kakrail Mosque and a leader of a faction of the Tablighi Jamaat.
