Kungsholmen

Sankt Eriksbron (English: "The St Eric Bridge") is a bridge in central Stockholm, Sweden. Passing over Barnhusviken it connects Kungsholmen to Norrmalm. The present construction was inaugurated in 1937. Neighbouring bridges are: Kungsbron, Barnhusbron, Stadshusbron, Klarabergsviadukten, and Ekelundsbron.

Karlberg Palace (Swedish: [kaɭˈbærj]) is a palace by the Karlberg Canal in Solna Municipality in Sweden, adjacent to Stockholm's Vasastaden district. The palace, built in 1630, today houses the Military Academy Karlberg.In the palace park are found, among other things, a "temple of Diana" (originally dedicated to Neptune) and the burial site of Pompe, the dog of King Charles XII.

Vasaparken is a park in the Vasastaden district of Stockholm, Sweden.

Essingeleden is a motorway that goes from Solna to Stockholm, Sweden, crossing the westmost parts of central Stockholm, by going over Kungsholmen, Lilla Essingen, and Stora Essingen. Essingeleden has three bridges – Fredhällsbron (270 m), Essingebron (470 m), and Gröndalsbron (460 m) – and one tunnel, Fredhällstunneln (210 m), which is one of the busiest tunnels in Europe.

Sabbatsberg Hospital (Swedish: Sabbatsbergs sjukhus) was a hospital in Vasastan in Stockholm. It was opened in 1879.In 1986, Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme was pronounced dead at 00:06 CET on March 1 at Sabbatsbergs Hospital, after having been shot in the street earlier that night.The emergency clinic at Sabbatsberg closed in 1994.

Ekelundsbron (Swedish: "The Ekelund Bridge") is a bridge in Stockholm, Sweden. Passing over the canal Karlbergskanalen, it connects the city district Stadshagen on Kungsholmen to the northern suburb Solna.The bridge is named after the crofter's holding once found nearby called Ekelund or Eklundstorpet (ek = "oak", lund = "grove", torp = "cottage"), which also gave its name to the shanty town found here around 1880.

Barnhusbron (Swedish: "The Orphanage Bridge") is a bridge in central Stockholm, Sweden. Passing over Barnhusviken, it connects Kungsholmen to Norrmalm. It is 23 metres wide and 290 metres long with a maximum span of 64.5 metres. The roadway is made of prestressed concrete except for two non-tensioned concrete section in its eastern end.

Polar Studios was a recording studio in Stockholm, Sweden, which operated from 1978 through 2004. The studio was formed by ABBA musicians Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson and the band's manager Stig Anderson, owner of the Polar Music recording label.The studio was used to record each of the last three ABBA albums, Voulez-Vous, Super Trouper and The Visitors, as well as their two final non-LP singles "The Day Before You Came" and "Under Attack".

Military Academy Karlberg (Swedish: Militärhögskolan Karlberg, MHS K) is a Swedish military academy, since its inauguration in 1792 in operation in the Karlberg Palace in Solna, just north of central Stockholm. It is thus the oldest military academy in the world to remain in its original location.Swedish cadets join the academy as part of their three-year training as do officers aspiring to become navy lieutenants or army and air force captains.
