Höchst by river

Griesheim is a city district of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It is part of the Ortsbezirk West.Griesheim had been an independent town until 1928, the year of its suburbanisation. It is located between Nied, Sossenheim, Bockenheim, Gallusviertel and Schwanheim.

The Nidda is a right tributary of the river Main in Hesse.It springs from the Vogelsberg on the Taufstein mountain range near the town of Schotten, flows through the Niddastausee dam, and the towns of Nidda, Niddatal, Karben, and Bad Vilbel. At Harheim it reaches the Frankfurt am Main city area and after 90 km enters the Main in Frankfurt's Höchst quarter.
