This the trail that goes through Tahquitz Creek Trail that starts at El Cielo all the way to Belardo Road. Named after Edward ‘Bud’ Furer an Oscar winner, former president of the Desert Riders, was an avid equestrian and spent much of his time and money promoting trails, notably the Shanon Trail. Furer’s trail leads across Mesquite Country Club golf course and intersect the Lykken Trail. A trail you have to be very careful especially when it’s golfing season. Never hike this trial at night because there are no lighting and you might encounter transients. On raining season best to skip and avoid this trail. Note this portion of Bud Furer Trail is a short hike only half a mile distance, and an easy hike.
