Walk East on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River along the bike path starting by the Rock Island Arsenal bridge and you will see prairie grass beginning to take root as the grass along the path has not been maintained since the covid 19 scare began. It’s actually really pretty to look at and you can still see across the river to the Arsenal Island. You will see lots of interesting people, pets, plants, and wildlife. Continue Eastward until you run into Sylvan Island and walk around it or throughout the many trails and bike paths on the Island. You’ll see lots of people fishing and you can see the river pelicans too. It’s pretty cool to check out the satellite view if you’re not in the area even though nothing can compare to the sites you’ll see especially on Sylvan Island.
