The Binoculars Building is the unofficial name of what was formerly known as the Chiat/Day Building, a commercial building built in 1991 for advertising agency Chiat/Day (now TBWA\Chiat\Day) located in Venice, Los Angeles, California, designed by architect Frank Gehry. According to Public Art in Public Places, the unofficial name is the result of a conflation between the building and the building-mounted public artwork Giant Binoculars (1991) by artists Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen on its street-facing façade.

72 Market Street Oyster Bar and Grill was a popular Venice, California restaurant founded in 1983 and launched by Tony Bill and Dudley Moore. The small restaurant was a celebrity hot spot which received attention for its food as well as an in house radio talk show and lecture series. It closed in November 2000.

Muscle House or Muscle House by the Sea was a famous (in bodybuilding circles) boarding house on the beach. The building was owned by Fleurette Crettaz, aka "Joy" and was located at 1659 Ocean Front Walk, Santa Monica, California. Joy was a fan of bodybuilding and would let bodybuilders stay for minimal rent.

Edgemar Center for the Arts is a collaborative rehearsal performance space open to artists of all disciplines and experience levels. It is a space in which professional and classical theater productions and dance performances take place. It houses a 65 and 99 seat theater. The 99 seat theater has one of the largest stages in West Los Angeles.

The Circle Bar is a famous, historic Bar and Lounge on Main Street in Santa Monica, California, United States. It was established in 1949. Movieline named it one of the 10 best places for young actors to be seen at night.

The Warren Wilson Beach House, later known as The Venice Beach House is a Craftsman style house built in 1911 in the Venice section of Los Angeles, California. It has operated over the years as both a residence and a camp.The Venice Beach House structure was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Marina Peninsula is a neighborhood in western Los Angeles, California. It is often considered a subsection of the adjacent neighborhood of Venice. Because of its name it is sometimes erroneously thought to be part of the adjacent community of Marina del Rey, California, but it was annexed to Los Angeles along with the rest of Venice in 1925.

The Pacific Jewish Center, also known as The Shul on the Beach or PJC, is a synagogue in Venice, Los Angeles, California, known for its outreach to unaffiliated and disconnected Jews. The Shul remains the last of the synagogues built in Venice during the first part of the 20th century. Although an Orthodox synagogue, due to its location in an eclectic neighborhood worshippers who identify themselves as many different denominations are all welcomed when attending services and other events.

Muscle Beach refers to the exclusive Santa Monica location of the birthplace of the physical fitness boom in the United States during the 20th century, started in 1934 with predominantly gymnastics activities on the south side of the Santa Monica Pier. Muscle Beach Venice is the contemporary title of the outdoor weightlifting platform constructed in Venice, California, a distinct neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles, 18 years after Muscle Beach was established.
